    Why have I never thought of this before…. with interchangables you could just stick the end caps on and then no hassle picking up stitches, just screw the tips back in and they’re already there!

    Might make me knit quicker to so I can have the cable back!

      (though sometimes I prefer to transfer the sts to waste yarn, just not to have too many cables and needles clanking about — especially if need to do some stealth knitting…)

    Is this like a precursor to Judy’s Magic Cast On? One step before it, without the twisting?

      I think that may be so. No “untwisting” required on the first row with this one. In fact, can hardly believe how simple it is. (I’ve moved the pages around, so this comment is in an odd place… can’t decide on the correct “hierarchy of pages”)
